SUMMARY

The Wyndham Landscape Development Levels of Service (WLDLS) will ensure an equal standard of development of open space across the municipality, including the renewal and upgrade of Wyndham’s existing parks. It is also at the core of asset management planning for Wyndham’s open space network. The WLDLS will aid in future-proofing open space and ensuring appropriate, reliable, sustainable and affordable open spaces for the Wyndham community. The creation of open spaces by Council and developers will be managed under the same conditions, which will ensure a similar level of open space development between the new and older areas of Wyndham.

KEY ISSUES

  • Equity in investment in Wyndham’s open space network.
  • Long term sustainability on open spaces in Wyndham.
  • Management of the level of embellishment of Wyndham’s open space network.
