Basic Community Services Needed in Williams Landing
In the 2016-2020 term, Council had identified a wide range of services that are either missing or need close attention for the Williams Landing community. That includes Library Services, Community Activity Space, Family Services, Maternal and Child Health, Middle Year's Services, Youth Services, Government School, Arts and Culture, Aged care, Disability Services, Family Violence.
These local services have been missing for Williams Landing since the beginning of the suburb around 2007 (more than ten years now), and there is still no solution provided to the Williams Landing community.
The Williams Landing Library and Community Centre project, a major initiative in Wyndham City Council's budget, has disappeared in the 2021-2022 draft budget. It was a key project initiated by Council to address those missing services. https://www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/project/williams-landing-library-and-comm...
It is Council's responsibility to deliver those basic community services. That is why the city council exists.
