在威蓝町城铁站高峰时段增设更多短期汽车落客区

根据维多利亚州公共交通局的数据,威蓝町站是维多利亚州使用率最高的 20 个地铁站之一,也是云登市最繁忙的郊区火车站,为威蓝町、库克角和图尼纳的居民提供服务。

在正常上下班高峰时段,火车站所在的 Altair 路可能会停满前来接送乘客的车辆。

您可能已经注意到,市政府最近将 Altair 路 Target 总部一侧的长期停车位改成 5 分钟的短期停车位,在上午和下午的高峰时段(上午 7 点至 9 点,下午 4 点至 6 点)。这样,我们的居民将有更多的停车位来安全地停车、接送孩子。

我们还在努力对火车站及周边地区进行其他改进和改善,这也涉及到与相关州政府部门的协作与合作。

作为市政府智慧城市部主席,我一直在倡导使用更多的绿色、环保的交通工具。减少驾车出行所造成的道路拥堵的方法之一是鼓励居民在可能的情况下使用其他交通工具,例如自行车,与此同时,我们需要确保火车站周围有足够的自行车存放处。

我们被告知,由于该地点空间有限,不可能在该区域安装更多的 Parkiteer 自行车架。不过,我们将继续研究各种方案,并向维州交通部提出此事,寻找进一步的解决方案。
