Problem Solved! A New Way to Report an Issue

Cr Aaron An, Wyndham City Council

Have you noticed rubbish dumped somewhere in Wyndham, a car parked illegally near you, a pothole or overgrown grass in your street? The answer is at your fingertips.

Wyndham City has launched a brand new online application that will allow residents to report an issue in just a few clicks, eliminating the need to fill out paper forms or wait on the phone to have the issue dealt with.

Wyndham City’s Smart City portfolio holder, Cr Aaron An, said the online application was a user-friendly way to let Council know when there is a problem.

“At Council we understand that the last thing people want to do is spend a lot of time contacting us in order to bring our attention to an issue,” Cr An said.

“That’s why we’ve developed the new Report an Issue web application. It provides a simpler way of getting Council to take action when you spot something that needs to be taken care of.”

“In an age when people can order food and track it all the way to their front door and facetime with family and friends on the other side of the world, it only makes sense that you shouldn’t have to go out of your way to get in touch with your local Council.”

“The Report an Issue application can be used in four easy steps. Simply add the location of the issue, add some details, add some photos if you have them, and then add your contact details. Intended for non-urgent matters like litter, illegal parking and overgrown grass, the application is mobile friendly and can be used on any Android or Apple device. You don’t even need to download anything!”

“I’m glad Council is continuing to look at ways to make us more accessible to residents and I’m sure the community will find this latest tool extremely useful.”
