Wyndham Urban Framework Plan

The work done to date on the Wyndham Urban Framework Plan provides Wyndham's residents with a range of options to consider and respond to the future planning of Wyndham.

The Plan is focussed on the theme of ‘More Time for Life’, based on the idea that everyone has the same 24 hours in their day but the way we spend it determines the quality of our life.

The Plan is aimed at helping people regain that precious time by reducing time spent in traffic, encouraging local employment, more public transport options and making urban areas more accessible to residential areas.

The Plan includes many ideas for improving the city including options on how to transform Wyndham’s urban landscape and make the city a more liveable place for residents.  The proposals aim to make Wyndham’s urban areas unique places that residents are proud of and that attract investment, employment and opportunity.

The Plan also includes ideas on:

  • Improving the City’s transport system;
  • Connecting people;
  • Varied and plentiful employment options;
  • Providing a diverse range of housing types;
  • Boosting the quality of life for people of all ages; and
  • Ways residents can have their say on how to build a better community.

Residents' feedback on the Plan will be critical as part of the upcoming community consultation and I encourage feedback from as many residents as possible.
