Williams Landing Ward
Wyndham City Council had undergone a significant review of its electoral structure, led by a panel appointed by the Victorian Minister for Local Government. The purpose was to advise on the Council's electoral structure, including the number of councillors and wards, as required by Victoria's Local Government Act 2020.
Previously, Wyndham City operated with four wards: Harrison Ward, Chaffey Ward and Iramoo Ward. However, under the new requirements of the Act, the Council must now move to a single-councillor ward electoral structure.
In early 2024, following a thorough review process, the Victorian Minister for Local Government decided to implement a new electoral structure for the City of Wyndham. This new structure comprises 11 wards, each represented by one councillor. As part of this restructuring, the former Harrison Ward has been divided into four distinct wards:
- Williams Landing Ward: Includes Williams Landing, parts of Point Cook, Truganina and Hoppers Crossing.
- Bemin Ward: Includes parts of Truganina.
- Cheetham Ward: Includes parts of Point Cook.
- Featherbrook Ward: Includes parts of Point Cook.
