Draft Council Budget 2023/24 Community Feedback

Wyndham City Council has released its draft Annual Plan and Budget for the 2023/24 financial year, which outlines key capital works, services and priorities to be delivered.

The aim is to create a better city to live in while keeping costs down. The draft 2023/24 Annual Plan and Budget includes:

  • $168.3 million capital works program
  • $33.6 million for the construction, upgrading and resurfacing of the local road network
  • $20 million for kindergarten and children's services
  • $12.7 million for parks, open spaces and streetscape improvements
  • $11.8 million for the Wyndham Coastal & Marine Management Plan and Greening the Pipeline
  • $11.9 million for maternal and child health immunisation services
  • $10.8 million for library services
  • $5 million for active transport network improvements to connect the city
  • $1.45 million for Community Grants to support not-for-profit organisations and community groups
  • $724,000 for public art projects across Wyndham

The city council is seeking feedback from the community on this draft Annual Plan and Budget. Feedback can be provided through a survey or by completing a paper form and returning it to Council by post or email. Pop-up events will be held at various locations around Wyndham throughout May for those who would like to talk face-to-face.

The deadline for feedback is 11:59pm on Sunday 28 May 2023.
