Draft Coastal and Marine Management Plan

When I visit a new place, I always wanted to visit their coastlines. This management plan will help us to better manage our coastlines.

The vision for this draft plan is to connect and enhance the unique qualities of Wyndham’s coastline for greater access and enjoyment and to facilitate appropriate coastal development and tourism. This includes the creation of accessible and connected coastal sites that can support healthy communities, our environments, the local economy and tourist destinations.

This 150-page draft plan is guided by state government’s Marine and Coastal Act 2018 and the Draft Marine and Coastal Policy 2019, as well as a range of council’s relevant guidelines, strategies and policies. I thank the officers involved in this draft plan, Peter, Antoniette and Sue. And I encourage residents to read this detailed draft plan and provide us with some feedback.
